The Talbot House Louisville Is...
A SHELTER to men for not only a roof over their heads, but also a safe, comfortable safe place away from the madness of active drug and alcohol addiction. At Talbot House, men experience peace and comfort where they can learn to live life on life’s terms.
The Talbot House Provides...
EDUCATION to men by teaching them the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, thus giving them a foundation upon which to build a happy and successful life. While at Talbot House men learn to apply the principles of A.A. to every aspect of their lives while they learn life skills to ensure they can address situations that used to baffle them.
The Talbot House Gives...
HOPE by Supporting men in many ways, none of which are more important than its Peer Mentor process. Because they’ve “been there before,” our longer-term residents are uniquely qualified to help the new resident navigate this new way of life. Additionally, men at Talbot House receive support through being held accountable for learning and exhibiting life skills they will need to succeed in the outside world.
Our Mission...
To provide a safe, positive, structured, and accountable living environment for men seeking sobriety from alcohol and drug dependency. To help encourage men to learn how to live a substance-free productive and meaningful lifestyle.
